Commercial Analyst

We at PEI Group are looking for a Commercial Analyst to join our welcoming, diverse, and growing team based here in London. A successful candidate will be data driven and logical, with excellent communication and business partnering skills. They will want to work closely with Commercial Business teams, FP&A and Business Intelligence to complete analysis and modelling projects.  
 
Your main responsibilities will include:
1. Leveraging data and analytics as a competitive advantage, providing strategic insights and recommendations to support the organisation's long-term financial goals and objectives, in particular.
2. Maintaining and updating the Group Long Term Plan
3. Supporting fact-based business decisions by providing analysis and information (including financial business cases), along with actionable recommendations where appropriate.  In particular completing:
- Commercial analysis on a wide range of areas such as; product costings, subscription, networks and events customer behaviour trends, cost areas including commission schemes and lead and opportunity tracking, amongst other areas.
- Scenario modelling for commercial propositions and for budgeting and forecasting.
- Support tasks for budgeting and forecasting processes.
4. Support Mergers and Acquisitions activity through financial analysis.

We are looking for someone who is;

• Enjoys digging into data, identifying trends and producing models and concise summaries of the findings.
• Able to gather and organise findings into recommendations and able to report and present on these.
• Able to simplify technical financial concepts to others with varying levels of knowledge.
• Detail orientated.
• An excellent communicator (verbal and written) with strong interpersonal skills. 
• Able to operate in a level of ambiguity.
• Welcomes working in a high profile role with senior management across the business.
• Has experience of, or is willing to learn SQL coding.

Qualification & Experience 
Essential;

• Strong academics.
• Financial certification; ACA, CIMA. 
• 3+ years in commercial roles. 
• Strong excel abilities, including to design, build and maintain reliable and meaningful financial models.
