About The Role

The Reporter will be working closely with the Editor of Infrastructure Investor Deals, a new publication being launched by PEI Group in Q4 2024, focusing on covering institutional capital deployment into global infrastructure assets. The role will require the Reporter to write daily content for this fast-paced, breaking news website. In addition to writing regularly, the Reporter is expected to be out interfacing with the market frequently, establishing key relationships with senior industry figures. II Deals is an editorial-led, data-focused product, with the Reporter required to source and utilise data points in a way that ensures our data offering is as fresh, complete and apposite as possible. As a member of the launch team, the position also calls for active participation in all things leading to the launch of II Deals, from website testing to preparing launch content, working closely with the Editor of II Deals.

Your main responsibilities will include: 

  • Produce daily news, with a focus on exclusives and breaking news,
  • Write analysis and opinion pieces, as required
  • Source high-quality, deal-focused data points, in close cooperation with our R&A department, to form a key part of our stories
  • Produce multimedia items, including podcasts, video interviews and/or interactive presentations, as required.
  • Pitch leads & content ideas
  • Help curate infrastructureinvestordeals.com and assist with the creation and delivery of daily, weekly and breaking news alert emails, as required
  • Interface with the market regularly, with a focus on face-to-face meetings, cultivating new and existing sources
  • Communicate regularly with the editor and meeting deadlines
  • Highly attentive to details and accuracy
  • When appropriate, collaborate with the PEI Events team, and moderate discussions at events hosted by the Company.

 Qualification & Experience 

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Experience in journalism or related field
  • Developing a network of contacts among senior professionals
  • Breaking off-diary stories
  • Writing analysis
 Personal Attributes  
  • Exceptional organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to research market trends and data and help shape potential feature/supplement themes
  • Data savvy with the ability to turn complex survey results into accessible editorial content
