Network and Event Marketing

About The Role

Our vision is to nurture PEI Group and our business information and event brands to become must-have resources and networks, so that private market investors, managers and service providers can better meet their business objectives and outperform in their markets.

The marketing team will be strategic partners to the business, collaborating to design and deliver customer-centric, creative and high-performance programs which improve brand preference, engage more market professionals and underpin commercial success.

We are looking for a data-driven Ecommerce Manager to optimise our subscription funnels and drive sales for digital information platforms, network memberships and events. This role will focus on improving the journey from organic search discovery to conversion, ensuring that first-time subscribers are guided toward multi-user licenses rather than individual plans. The ideal candidate has experience in B2B eCommerce, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and subscription and event sales.

  • A/B test messaging, UX/UI elements, and checkout flow to improve conversion rates.

2. Website & eCommerce Performance Management

  • Ensure the subscription purchase experience is seamless, with a focus on reducing friction in the checkout process.
  • Implement upsell and cross-sell strategies to encourage first-time buyers to opt for team licenses.
  • Work closely with developers to optimize the eCommerce platform and user experience.

3. Data Analysis & Performance Tracking

  • Monitor key metrics such as conversion rates, bounce rates, and average order value (AOV).
  • Use tools like Google Analytics, heatmaps, and CRM data to refine the funnel.
  • Regularly report on funnel performance and implement data-backed improvements.

4. SEO & Content-Driven Growth

  • Align subscription page content with search-driven user intent.
  • Optimize high-traffic articles to improve subscription conversion rates.
  • Work with the content and marketing teams to ensure seamless handoff from discovery to purchase.

5. Customer Experience & Retention

  • Reduce churn and improve customer lifetime value (LTV) through optimized onboarding.
  • Ensure a frictionless team subscription purchase process, including user management and billing.
  • Gather customer feedback to improve the purchasing experience.

Deliverables and KPIs
  • Improved conversion rate from article readers to subscribers - > increase in conversion rate
  • Higher percentage of first-year subscribers purchasing team licenses - > growth in multi-user subscriptions
  • Optimized subscription landing pages and checkout flow - > decrease in bounce rate and cart abandonment
  • Data-driven recommendations & reporting - > Regular insights leading to measurable improvements
