About The Role

We at PEI Group are looking for a Business Development Representative to join our welcoming, diverse, and growing team based here in London.

 

The successful candidate will join a high performing sales team and the role would suit graduates with prior BDR experience or individuals with experience of working with larger accounts.

 

You will be working in our Information Subscriptions sales team alongside Account Developers, Sales Executives and Client Engagement across APAC, EMEA and US. Focussing across all or customer segments, Key Accounts, Clients and new logo Acquisition, the purpose of the role is to generate cross sell and upsell opportunities in targeted accounts using an account mapping methodology.

 

Your responsibility is to conduct lead generation through research, be the first line of communication with prospects and manage outreach through to the creation of sales accepted leads. We are looking for individuals who are strong at building relationships with potential customers and who can understand and navigate large scale complex organisations.

 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound prospecting activities to identify potential customers, including research, cold calling and emailing.
  • Proactively call and engage with incoming prospects.  Following up on first time logins and pay wall hits on our subscription websites.
  • Generate leads and build relationships by nurturing prospects and finding potential new sales opportunities.
  • Build an account mapping plan to identify cross sell and upsell opportunities on target accounts.
  • Book product on behalf of Business Development Executives (BDEs) with decision makers in target organizations.
  • Work closely with colleagues across the sales team to optimize outreach and the growth of existing accounts.
  • Create and maintain accurate up-to-date records in our Microsoft CRM, adhering to best practice.
  •  Have a thorough understanding of the market and our products.
 

About You

Requirements

Experience:

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (essential).
  • An interest in Private Equity and the enthusiasm to learn more about the industry (essential).
  • Experience interacting and engaging with large scale customers and new clients in a professional work environment (essential).
  • Experience as a business development representative, with a track record of achieving sales quotas (desired).
  • Experience or researching contacts and organization mapping (desired).
